Anybody have any thoughts or experiences on it? I need a new phone soon and this can be had for around 300. I like the ruggedness and 2:1 ratio although it does have an older chip. I plan to get the unlocked version so I can root it and keep it up to date.

I like the Sony Xperia. I just bought a moto 5 plus for 219 unlocked at best buy. If you can get the G6 for 300 do it.

I like mine. I haven't rooted it yet. I can pretty much do everything I used to root my phones to be able to do.
Pros: Usb C is nice. Good battery life. Expandable storage.
Cons: I don't like the fingerprint reader being on the back. It does not have an IR blaster.
