Is this a good laptop for the price?

There will probably be something wrong with it. At best, Dell performs a lackluster job at refurbishing laptops. The biggest problem you will see on their refurbished pieces are dead pixels in the display. If you were looking at Alienware, they will take back laptops that have crap GPUs and sell the again as refurbs without fixing the problem.
