iPhone message crashing

Started today for no reason. Every time I go into messages and I open a message conversation, it backs out of messaging to the home screen.
Anyone else ever run across this issue and have a fix?

Reboot---> Update------> throw against wall

No, but mine started reseting randomly. Always when it's in my pocket so nbd, but it is weird.
