Planning on getting a new iPhone but when I tried to backup my current one on our computer it is telling me I don’t have enough space on the hard drive. Have another internal drive that is empty but can’t figure out how to control where iTunes routes the backup and how to change that.

Got frustrated fighting with that so decided to purchase more cloud space and backup in that manner. Started the process last night and when I woke up 6 hours later I had “about a day” of time remaining for the back up to be complete (live out in the boonies so internet speed is horrendous). Tried going back in and turning off some of the things that were set to backup to see if it helps but it still looks like it will take forever.

Does anyone have experience dealing with this or any possible solutions?

What’s taking up all the space? Photos, messages?

Apps and messages. I went through and dumped a bunch of pics onto the computer so I only have a few hundred on the phone. Went through and cleaned up some messages but still quite a bit on there. Right now I have 46 GB of data on the phone.

Absolutely painless. Went from a 6+ to the SE2 last month and used Quick Start, no problems whatsoever (except for forgetting to pair the new phone, same name as the old phone, to Bluetooth in my car).
