IPhone 5s error message I am getting
When I charge my phone I get the following. “This accessory may not be supported”. All I have is my power cord plugged into the wall. Any idea why I am getting this? I am going to replace my battery again. No I don’t want a new phone and yes I know it’s old as dirt.

So the issue is when I dismiss it the phone won’t charge. And I can’t uee it unless I dismiss the message so the phone will just die.

Thanks

Either you cord is frayed, the cord plug is dirty or you have lint/trash in your charge port.

You can also get that message if it’s a cheap $4 gas station charge cord, but since you didn’t mention it was a new cord, I’m assuming you use to not get the message with this cord.

But But I thought Apple made older phones obsolete on purpose...

Both cords i bought on amazon within last few months. Will try to clean them and see what happens.

Cleaning the charge port did the trick. A lot of black stuff in there

Have you tried cleaning out the charging port on your phone? They get lots of lint in them over time.
