Through a series of unfortunate events, I have lost my roku. Can I just buy a new one and sign in with my Netflix and other accounts and conitue on like normal?

That would be correct. Unless of course the unfortunate events are a breakup and your grimy arse ex is using your streams and you can't have multiple streams at once.

Just speaking from a friend's experience....

When you set up your Roku you would have set up an account on Roku.com I've never had to do it but you should be able to remove a specific device from your Roku account.

You can also use the old remote (assuming you didn’t lose that too) by programming it to the new Roku via the button under the batter door.

Could you sign into TD if you lost your laptop? Gmail? Uber?

Theres your answer. Roku is simply a device

I have a big one and one of the small ones for being on the road, all you have to do is log into your Roku account and it will automatically load every app that you used on your old one.

This is correct. I lost mine at an airbnb. Just login to roku and disable the old device, add the new device, and you're good to go. It also lets you see the last time your old device was used.
