Why would they do this? They're getting ready to jack their prices up and want to make it look like a kind gesture?

exactly...Their core audience doesn't open ATT mailers and all they care about is their big numbers doubled

I got the same email today. I've seen ATT trucks in and around the neighborhood for the past month or three, I was hoping it was fiber but figured it was probably just post-flood work.

I've had that happen a few times. I don't think they'll bump my 300 though.

Just moved and AT&T automatically doubled my speed from 50 to 100 because it's all fiber where I am now and that's the minimum. Still locked in to my same rate.

That's the max before fiber, so I doubt we'll get the free bump to fiber since most places don't have the lines yet.

My EATEL went from 50 to 750. Thinking about downgrading to the 35 plan to save some money.

Just verified 100 Mbps (previously 50) with SpeedTest, but no Cox email yet.

Checking my email reminds me that Cox seems to have given up on filtering spam. 20+ spams a day in my inbox is why I quit using my Cox email and went to Gmail, and it had been going on for years.
