I'm look at this chromebook:

Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 (Intel® Core™ m3, 64GB eMMC), Light Titan

With Intel 615 graphics. Could this computer run a second monitor (not just a mirror, but as a dual monitor setup with the laptop display?

I'm assuming you could do usb->hdmi???

ChromeOS supports it. That particular Chromebook doesn't look like it has a decicated video output such as hdmi, but you may be able to use a USB to HDMI adapter to accomplidh your goal. I'm not certain as I've never tried it, but I can verify that a USB to ethernet adapter works does work, so that may give you some faith. Regardless, I would probably find that model in a store like best buy and see if they would let me test it out before buying.
