Calling Baton Rouge Cox Internet users
If any of you around could you help me with a small amount of research?

Simply run this speed test and tell me what your latency is and if youre connected wirelessly or not.

Excellent thank you everyone. I had about 10 samples from Uverse which are consistently 10-15ms slower.

Ultimately I am looking into the issue of buffer bloat with different router types. Particularly during upload, which if you do any kind of gaming is important, but no one ever monitors the upload.

So far my conclusion is Cox is a better service for power users simply for allowing you to use your own equipment.

If you want to know what that looks like:
Ping spike during upload, but not download.

I had 300Mbps down Cox before going to 1Gbps Fiber with Uverse. The Uverse is hands down better. I get better ping in my games than I did with Cox. Typically around 40ms now it's 30ms.

I'm in EBR also.

I have 24ms wired to Katy, Tx.

Unfortunately Fiber isn't available for me yet so I am still on their VDSL system which is subject to interleave. :/
