Buying a Apple watch for a boomer

I'm going to surprise my dad with a Apple watch. I'm not accustomed to Apple watches I guess which one is the best deal and most reasonable for a 66er.

At least a 4 for the heart stuff, 5 doesn't add too much. So just get the one you find a better deal on.

We got my mother in law a 4 for Christmas and she loves it. It did take her a week or two to learn its functionality.
