My wife and I are going on an international trip and I was looking to get a budget laptop to take with us, preferably <$300 (didn't want to take my MacBook Air and have to worry about it getting stolen) Just need it for internet access, and to access my work RDP. Prefer it to be lightweight, 12-15in screen.

I've read about the Acer chromebook 14 but was looking for other recs in case.

TIA

A bought a used Dell for $99 as a backup laptop. There are tons of good used laptops out there.

I would entertain a tablet, just need something that is easy to type on for work and has a easy trackpad.

Quadfest, I'm selling one if you're interested.

Acer Aspire One Cloudbook 11. It's nothing fancy, but does what you want it to.
