Seems like most reviews barely give the edge to Sony, but is that edge worth $50 right now since the Bose is down to $300? Also curious about the touch controls on the Sony. Easy to use?

TIA.

I went Sony touch controls are very easy

I love them. Also app is cool I recalibrate noise cancelling when in air.

I saw some compliants about paring to multiple things. I just use with phone do don't know

Particularly if music is the media, I don't really think it is that close - Sony is way better with music (for my tastes). If you already like the way Bose does music (No highs, no lows, just loud), then you might disagree. Bose is easier, overall, to use and pair with multiple devices.

Touch controls on Sony are legit. I have the XM2 and no complaints. Rolling those down to Mrs. Midnight and getting the XM3. My son swears by the QC35s.

Sony for better NC and sound quality, but it's relatively close, Bose if you care about connecting to and switching between multiple Bluetooth devices without re-pairing, and it ain't even close.

The touch controls on the Sony are a mixed bag. I find them easy to accidentally activate when wearing a muscle shirt and putting my arm behind my head. That's probably the most frequent usage I get out of them, so I could do without them.

I tried both and liked Sony better. Fit was better, sound had more dynamics, noise cancelling is fantastic, and felt lighter than the Bose

I just went through this and had the Bose, Sony M2, and Sennheiser. Personally, I thought the Sony won on audio over Bose and tied with Senn. BUT, the Senn NC was weak compared to Sony and Bose. I liked the Sony easy to use features better on swiping for songs and muting music, etc. Bose seemed a little more comfy and maybe a slight edge on NC but to me the sound quality was too big of a difference. And I got the M2 for $199 on BF so it was a win-win.

I got the Bose. They are super light. The most comfortable headphones I've ever worn. It also has google assistant and it is super easy to use. Obviously high quality build. The are not huge either. The noise canceling works well. I can put them on and can't hear the tv at all. Comes with a android/iphone app.

8.2 ounces vs 9.0 for the sony. That's not really going to change my mind.

Definitely one of their claims to fame and a +1 over the sony.

The M3s are reviewed as having higher or equal quality.

NC on the M3 is reviewed as better.

You don’t need an android for google assistant. Just download the app. That’s one positive for Bose but I rarely used it.

Btw, google assistant is way better than siri/iOS.
