Apple Music, spotify, google, amazon...? Which is better and why. I’m paying $5 for pandora now but I’d like access to full albums and want something that has a family plan.

I’m not seeing the radio option on Spotify anymore... is that gone? Sometimes I like to put on a pandora style station and shuffle while driving.

I have tidal for free as a sprint customer and really like it. I also get google music and YouTube music bundled with my premium YouTube subscription- the YouTube music app is really good because it can grab random music uploads from YouTube (helpful if you’re looking for an obscure song that isn’t offered via any of the streaming subscription apps).

Sounds like Spotify would suit you and tour needs best.

I’ve used Spotify, tidal & deezer and will try Qobuz when it becomes available stateside later this year. I’m with tidal now because of the hifi streams, but of the three I’ve used I felt that Spotify’s UI was the most intuitive and easiest to navigate, and it seemed to have pretty much everything I looked for.

Plenty of radio stations for free on I heart radio.

I'm old as dirt so TK101 is my favorite.

I had Google play.. Liked it. Gave Spotify a try. Love it. So much better and it's not even close from my experience.

They still have it. Some genre stations, and you can make your own based on an artist, song, or album.

You asked about family plan. I think Spotify offers one for $15 a month. I just have a solo premium plan for $10. Love it.

Go with Google, especially if you use YouTube at all.

Watched a video on YouTube the other day about the quality of the streams. In order of best to worst:

Tidal
Spotify (High)
Spotify (Low)
Apple Music
YT Music

Apple and YT Music were both pretty fricking horrible in regards to artifacts and noise.

Tidal really needs to work on their functionality. Streams and downloads sound fricking fantastic. Bought a pair of headphones that came with a free 3 months so I downloaded it on my phone to try it out.

Issues:

1. In your collection music will only show how it was downloaded, ie. download an album, it will only show as the album. You cannot click on artist and it show up or on songs and it show up. Whereas in Spotify songs you download will show up under all categories.

2. Unless you download the songs individually you cannot shuffle play your collection unless you put everything into a playlist. This brings up issue #3.

3. Even if you have all of the music downloaded into your collection you cannot start a playlist playing unless you are online.

4. For all of the above broken BS, they charge $19.99/month.....LOL

Same here plus Google and Apple Music. I'm using Spotify now but will at least try Qobuz when it launches.
