Device: iPhone 6 with unlimited data package

I use this when in my truck or my wife's car for GPS and/or Pandora Radio, iTunes Radio, etc.

I'm looking for a good way to mount it to my windshield so that I don't have to lay it in the console, etc.

I found this and it seems to be a good product and sells for around $24.99 at Best Buy.

Just wondering if you guys have any other suggestions on good mounts?

This is the iOttie Easy One Touch 2

Yeah, that's one thing I have to keep in mind. I don't use it as a GPS when in my truck because I have a GPS and had Best Buy hardwire the power cord to the truck so it's always on the windshield whether I use it or not. I do go out to my truck at work sometimes (not every often though) and it will be hanging by the power cord because the suction has let loose.

I have this. Not a windshield mount but it's the best mount I've ever had. The windshield and dash mounts with the sticky shite are just a mess in the summer. It goes in the CD slot and is magnetic. I've had it for 2 years now and will never own anything else.

The one MightyYat posted that mounts in the CD player slot is a good one. I've used one similar before but in my truck, that leaves it at almost an full arm's length away from me. You can also use that one to "wedge" between any crevices in your dash that may be closer to you, like this:

But, as you can see, that blocked my volume knob and partially blocked the a/c vent when the phone was on it so I switched to the one below...

You need to find a mount that uses a suction cup that's made of the same material that those octopus's we had as children that you'd wet and soap up and throw it against the wall. I don't know what the material is called, but that shite sticks to anything.

I use this one by Infiniapps...

It uses what they call a "Sticky-Gel" suction sup and I have it stuck to the underside of my dashboard where it overhangs my instrument cluster(see pic of location of where I mounted it below). I won't say it's never fallen off, but I've had it for over a year and it's maybe come off the dash twice. I also have a suction cup mount for my radar detector that's made of the same material and it's NEVER come loose from my windshield in the 6 months I've had it.

As far as how you mount your phone to the mount? I'd imagine you have a case on your iPhone? If not, I'd recommend you get one. The mount comes with a metal plate that you simply put inside the case and it magnetically sticks to the mount. No worrying about buttons to push to release it or all that other crap.

I bought 5 of these. 1 for the wife and I's vehicles and 1 each for the bathroom mirrors so we can mount our phones and listen to music when were getting ready in the mornings or showering/bathing at night. The 5th is for my wife at work where she has it mounted on her desk.

I can't find this exact one on Amazon right now, but here's the exact same product sold under a different brand for a few dollars less than what I paid for mine.

I had a Griffin one that I really liked and bought 3 times, but the third time it broke I said frick it (it was really my fault though since it was only big enough for an iPhone without a case, and I was using it with the iPhone leather case).

Amazon had the iOttie Easy One Touch on sale last July for like $10, so I bought it without hesitation, since if it sucked, it was only a tenner. It has never, not once, fallen off my windshield in the hot New Orleans weather, though I do park under a carport at home.* It's held up nicely and it fits my iPhone 6 with or without the leather case just fine.

*despite this, my car has been left in the sun a few times where it got so hot that my dashcam would not turn on. Even still, this mount didn't fall. YMMV, of course, but I've been very satisfied.

I use the Ram Mount X grip in my Jeep and my 2014 Ram work truck. No issues. I did have to get the larger x-grip when I moved up to the Note 4 from my S3.

Look up Ram Mounts. They are customizable and its the same thing alot of law enforcement uses. I have one and it is understuctible.

I've used the iOttie and trust me that this is a better product and cheaper. I'm pretty much sold on the quality of anything Anker makes.

I've had this one for 6 months. has never fallen even with the 6+. Fits any phone. Best one I've used. only $20

4/5 stars on Amazon with 500 reviews.

ETA: I don't even use the support you see in the picture and my phone still doesn't shake enough to be annoying.
