Audiobooks on I tunes

I listen to audiobooks using Itunes. Is there a way to fast forward or reverse to change places in the book. Some books are 15 + hours long and the slightest move of the status bar at the top sometimes moves the story by more than a chapter. This isn't really a problem with music as the status bar is usually about 3 or 4 minutes long. Can anyone help here.
Thanks
Thanks

I haven't found a way either.
Started using Audible about a year ago, much better format.

Is there a way to get an mp3 into Audible? I downloaded a couple books from IP, but don't know how to get them to audible... I'm thinking maybe they only allow books from the amazon store to be put on there.
Maybe, I'm just too lazy to look it up first.

I don't think so, but you can use the podcast app Overcast and upload any audiobooks to their servers for playback on your device. It supports chapters and 15, 30, 60 second skip back.

You may have to throw them a few dollars for the ability to upload audiobooks. Not sure.

They can have my money as long as I am able to save where I left off and can rewind in 30 second intervals

I've used Bookmobile in the past. When I first used it you could use it for free for the first few books and then you had to pay $5 I think. It's been awhile since I've used it but you should be able to try it for free and see if it meets your needs.
