I've been close to buying one of these lately for my living room tv for streaming and maybe a little gaming. Anyone have any feedback?

I currently use firestick

I've got the regular Nvidia shield. Didn't see the point of the pro since I stream from a media desktop, so the extra storage is a non issue. It's much faster than the fire stick from my experience, and can stream games from a PC with a decent Nvidia graphics card.

If you're not too worried about speed or gaming, it may not be worth the upgrade, unless you can get it on sale. That being said, I really enjoy mine.

yes. best streaming device out there as far as specs. The UI could use some work though.

this needs to be listened to. Unless you are planning to run a small plex server without a NAS, you dont need more storage on this.

Nice. Yeah they're a little steep but i kinda feel since ive cancelled cable this week I wanted to go all in on streaming capability. Just upgraded our modem/router to one of the Netgear Nighthawks yesterday and that helped a lot.

It's great. Much better than FireTV or Roku.
