Anyone use Spectrum wireless?

Looks like they are an MVNO off of Verizon's towers. Any thoughts on service and any BS fees they add on?

Use Xfinity mobile. 12 bucks a gig. Free talk and text. Verizon towers. What's not to like? Will switch if they allow pixel phones.

Thought about it but they didn’t allow BYOD. I had two iPhone 7 that we were using on another carrier and they wouldn’t let me use them. Ended up going with T-Mobile. A couple guys at work use it and love it though.

They indicated on their website that you are allowed to BYOP.

That must be new. When I was checking back in a January it wasn’t an option. I might pay off these iPhones and switch at some point. But I’ve got a good promotional deal with Tmobile.

I use Google fi and have better service in central Alabama (off TMobile towers) than Sprint or at&t, and most of the time faster data speeds than Verizon

"Google fi faster than Verizon" prove that. don't believe it.

TMO had had the fastest LTE in the US for 5 years in a row. Google fi uses T-Mobile.
Verizon Network is super saturated having well over 150 million devices activated on it's network while TMO has only about half of that.
Verizon is congested and slow as shite in a lot of places.

As someone that switched from Tmobile to Spectrum wireless, I couldn't laugh more at your post.
Tmobile is fricking garbage outside of decent sized cities. Their service is cheap, but it's completely useless if you have to travel anywhere outside of a big city. Example, from NOLA to Oxford, MS I had no voice or internet with Tmobile for easily 65% of the trip. My work phone at the time with Verizon had service the entirety of the trip.
Spectrum has been as good for me as Verizon, but at a cheaper cost. Highly recommend it.
ETA: There are no BS fees as I can tell. My bill is $193 a month for 2 unlimited lines and two 256gb iPhones XS (one a max). After 24 months it will be under $100.

In the past, this may have been true. But now that Verizon has set a shutdown date for CDMA (by the end of this year), the advantages will soon end.
Also with CDMA, there is no seamless handoffs to LTE. If you're in a VoLTE call and you reach the edge of cell, your call will fail. There is no hand-off to CDMA 1xRTT from VoLTE. And since Verizon hasn't densified their rural coverage, dead zones will be more common since their towers were spaced for CDMA, and not LTE.

Still happy with it?
Anybody else make the switch? I recently got Spectrum internet, so I was looking into this as an option to switch from AT&T.
