Our most inform CB hands down is Ream. He plays at the highest level of any of our CB's bar none.
Do you think Ream is our best CB though?

Pepi scores again! Against the run of play versus a better PSV squad, his teammate steals a pass in the center third. The teammate takes the ball to goal with a shot saved by the keeper. Pepi takes the rebound and fires a shot into the open goal.

I think the Ream/Robinson pairing is stronger than anything else we have at the moment. Maybe Zimmerman (MLS) and a question mark player should not be the given.

Huh?
That's not a CB pairing

You don't think Zimmerman is our best CB right now? If so, this conversation is pointless.

Bruvski, I think you struggle with not being able to see the forest through the trees. I wasn’t talking about CB pairing. Just backline consistency. Point being, if you think Z and Ream can’t pair, then Z shouldn’t be the given. Otherwise you have Z and Long.

Says the guy who can't understand that maybe, just maybe in some instances, some MLS players are better than EPL players.
Case and point Zimmerman vs Ream.
Like I said, this conversation is pointless.

Tactically and technically yes.. and a veteran presence captaining Fulham. I understand his acceleration/speed issues, but there's no way he shouldn't be in squad over Long.

Tactically I think Zimmerman is much better in positioning and knowing when to challenge and when not to. Ream is a little better on the ball.

Agreed. But I think Ream should be viewed as a Zimmerman backup, not as a pairing with Zimmerman. Richards (if healthy) is the LCB with McKenzie or CCV as the next option.

Adams has a muscular injury, described as minor but enough to keep him out today. #lufc
Don't like that so close to the World Cup

Yes IMHO Ream right now is our best CB. If everyone was healthy.
1. Richards
2. Robinson was on his way to a transfer to a big boy club either this past summer or after the World Cup before his injury.
3. Ream
4. Zimmerman

Yeah, no, Zimmerman graded out better in pretty much every match that he and Robinson (and Richards for that matter) played together.
Zimmerman is our best CB right now, he doesn't have the most potential by any means, but in terms of right now with the World Cup a month out, he's our best CB and it's not even a question.
To have him 4th is laughable.

We can agree to disagree on this point.

So you live in a world where the only option with Gregg to pair with Zimmerman is Long?
If so, that is just amazingly stupid.
Like I get it, you want that to be the case because it gives you more ammo against Gregg, but I promise you that isn't reality.
sigh all you want, but at least form a coherent argument once in a while.

“ski” typically means a Polish descent. I’ve been to Poland five times, and enjoy the country and people. Was just curious if there was an affiliation. No reason to be defensive.
Btw, guess what they call Polish sausage there?
