You can’t have counter-attacking as a primary tactic if your front 4 have a breakaway chance against 2-3 defenders and routinely fail to even get a shot off.

It really is. The vast majority of the goals we score come from individual efforts. Very few team created chances, and that’s why they are so hard to watch...along with the shitty defense.

There’s no reason a front 4 with this kind of talent should look this bad against an average (at best) side. I can understand the defense somewhat. We just don’t have the talent. But not being able to put together two passes in the final third is ridiculous.

Yeah we need a massive reset. I would hang onto Dele, Ndombele, Lamela, Sanchez and Alderweireld (new contract) as well.
When Ndombele went out, Lo Celso and Sissoko in midfield was painful. They have the collective passing touch of a rhino. Lo Celso needs to be on the wing if anything, but we already have Son and Lucas who are better there.
Massive immediate needs at midfield and LB/RB.
