Alisson Golden Glove in 3 separate competitions!

Did you see Bobby make a typical Bobby tackle to lead to a goal? I love that fricking guy, so unselfish and his work rate is through the roof. Quite simply, we have the best GK on the planet.

That movement was quintessential Bobby Dazzler. Tenacious work rate, unselfish play, beloved by teammates, yet slated by Brazilian media. Apparently the Liverpool Twitter contingent have declared war against certain Brazilian media outlets who called for Richarlison to start ahead of Bobby, despite the fact that Brazil just had one of their most dominant runs in a major tournament in a few years.
In other news, we apparently beat Real, City and Bayern to the signing of Fulham wunderkid Harvey Elliot (he's the new record holder for youngest ever premier league debut).
I've never heard of him or seen him play, but if the other big dogs were in on him, I'm glad to see us as the most attractive candidate for his services. I believe he's a winger.

I'm ready for the season to start. Too much Twitter drama right now with the fans.

Apparently they plan on having him train with the 1st team at Melwood from the get go. 16 years old

1st half thoughts
- Brewster, Kent, and Wilson ooze talent. I think Klopp likes them a lot. Wouldn't be surprised if two of those three start the year on the 1st team.
- Everytime I see #15 I keep wondering who the hell that is. Gotta get used to Ox's new number. Ox looks like he's still got a ways to go on conditioning (of course everybody else does too... except for Milner, lol).
- One player that looks fit and ready to go outside of Milly is Gomez. He looks sharp and quick.
- Tranmere's LCB is a damn man-mountain. Holy frick.
- Does Clyne still want a move away? Or is he ready to play on a championship squad as a bench player? I think he probably still prefers first team play to trophies, but I'd love to keep him.
- The Larouci kid playing LB looks like he should be faster than he is. Seen some good and bad out of him in the 1st half.
- I find it hilarious that in open play every time a youngster passes it to Milner he immediately passes it right back either to the same or another youngster. "Klopp didn't choose this lineup to see me play, mates!"
- Lalanna is teasing me again. Looks like he's healthy and has his speed back and shows me some things. Then I immediately see him on the ground holding his leg (though I think he's OK).
- Not much to say on young Nat Phillips as he didn't have to do much more than stand around.

2nd half thoughts
- Origi is still working hard on the pitch, even in a preseason match against a lower league team. Showed beautiful touch yet again to score a goal. As a former member and past president of the Fock Divock Club, I'm glad I turned out to be wrong.
- Even more mouth-watering youngsters... Lewis, Duncan, Glatzel, Jones. The best of the 2nd half bunch though was Hoever. I noted in my 1st half thoughts how I wouldn't mind seeing Clyne stick around. Considering Gomez plays RB and Hoever also looked a natural at the position (even though you gotta think his future, like Joe's, is at CB), Clyne might oughta shoulda be allowed to move on.
- I swear to goodness, the Joel Matip I've seen in 2019 is nothing like the Joel Matip I saw in 2018 and before. My gosh, he's become top-notch.
- As exciting as he was a while ago, I think Young Ben Woodburn's future is very likely not in a Liverpool kit.
- A back-up goalie played on the front-line.
- Even though I laughed at the above, we only did that because the ref, for some reason, allowed a couple of man-mountain players on the Tranmere squad to physically abuse Glatzel. Its a warm-up, pre-season game, ref... come on, dude. Call the damn foul and control the game.

over all very strong performance against weak opposition
Chelsea just tied an Irish team in the same situation so I will take it.
They were singing "Your Getting Sacked in the Morning" to Frankie Lampards first match....I laughed

Hoever looks like a young Gomez. Big, fast, good passing. Liked him above everything else today.

Was gonna mention Hoever when you said to keep Clyne around... I think he and TAA are our 1/2 there honestly with Gomez as cover when he's not playing in the middle

Mike Dean, a Tranmere supporter, officiating the match between Tranmere and Liverpool. That’s awesome!

What impressed me was the power of the young guys

You can really see what an emphasis Klopp and Edwards put on building the youth ranks. We have young talent all over and two more on the way. As stated previously, poor Ben looked like the future and he looks like he’s been passed by.

This is exactly what Klopp did at Dortmund.
Only at Liverpool he has the support, access, and financing to do it BETTER.

Anyone attending the American tour matches? Wife and I are heading up to South Bend next week for the Dortmund match. Today's friendly got me stoked again. Can't wait to see the young guys like Brewster and Duncan.
