He was under a little more pressure for the first one and those things happen... the 2nd one was just ridiculous...

From David Maddock of the Mirror, he quotes/paraphrases Klopp as saying that Naby Keita "could be out for a while".

Yeah, that's not good...

Guineau just "banned for life" their now-former manager too.
You know... the one that fricked Keita up and played him injured.
Countries that participate in FIFA international play should be required to reimburse clubs that pay these players huge money when they utilize players abusively. I don't know how you'd enforce it, but I'd like to see it.
As a relatively new convert to soccer/football, I have to say that I haven't been able to seriously get into the "international play" part of it. Yes, the very end of the Men's World Cup ends up being exciting... but the rest of it? Meh, give me club play to watch over that shite.
Edit: Maybe I'd appreciate international football more if I were from a country that was actually competitive in international football. I'm willing to admit that that could be all or at least part of the problem.

Going to drive half way across town (also while likely super hungover because I can tell some bullshite is about to happen at work later this week) to watch the match at the local Arsenal bar this weekend with a coworker whose gf is from the UK and a Arsenal fan so we better not have anymore funny business out of Adrian.
Was talking to aforementioned coworker today about this and told him how much internationals suck compared to club play once you vaguely understand the game and the tactics. You’re in kind of a weird position since the past couple of years have been the nadir for tUSMNT, at least since the 80s. I feel like myself and most of my friends that got into watching soccer without playing it started by watching the national team and then got into clubs, subsequently caring less and less about tUSMNT.
Ten years ago I used to follow tUSMNT as closely as my favorite American football teams and now I only watch competitive matches and a few friendlies (if the stars are playing). I don’t think you’re alone in your thinking.

When I started watching soccer I was more into international play. Maybe it was the allure of the World Cup, and was also really big into the Olympics as well. I have definitely shifted my interest more towards club though in the last 5-6 years, heavily. Country pride on an athletics side is cool and all but I like the yearly chance at silverware these days.

Was there a domestic cup draw this week and I missed it?

The draw was only for those lower tier clubs that have advanced thus far and the 13 PLteams not involved in Europe. Those teams will play next week, and the winners will advance to another draw that will include the 7 EPL teams in Europe.

So Forbes says Nike will be the next kit maker for Liverpool. This pretty much guarantees we sign Mbappe in the summer.

Ox signed contract extension with the club today extending him till 2023.

$100M/year. $15M more than Mancs, love it.

Even though NB has put out some great kits, can't be mad about that number... apparently it will be the 3rd largest kit deal in the world behind the two Spanish giants

United’s is £75 million which is roughly $91 million and went live in 2015
Congrats tho, hopefully Nike goes with a clean crisp look like adidas did with Liverpool

Happy match day!
I am in Dallas visiting for the weekend and need a place to view the game near North Park. Any suggestions?
