really starting to change my opinion on Joe Gomez as a RB... I still think long term, him at CB and Trent at RB, makes more sense... but he has been solid... not the best at attacking, but good balance from the left

Agreed. I never believed the hype about TAA completely replacing Clyde when he does make it back but Gomez has an argument

Huge, strong as an ox, with pace. Has a great future at either position.
And after Everton pushing and beating on Salah for a full half, I loved Salah’s “GET THE frick OFF OF ME!” push to get clear for the goal.

Between the two, Clyne may be expendable... depending on where Klopp sees Joe's future..
I just really like the balance he brings to the more attack based left side...
Not that I'm advocating this, but TAA and Joe playing on the right side of a back 3 formation looks tailor made...

I agree far post was open but that close to goal Pickford would have needed an instantaneous reaction at the near post. Pickford is really good but I think that close in would have been quite a challenge.
