True, I'm just holding out for Keita, VVD and Robertson.

Via some Liverpool transfer sites, RB Leipzig want to sell Keita now. They're stating that they're no longer going to hold him back since he (keita) has made it known that he wants to leave.

It's been interestingly quiet considering it was expected that we would bid again yesterday or today..

All reports this morning are that RBL have turned down a £66mm bid for Keita...

more posturing before the inevitable?

Nothing new, but Pearce and Joyce reporting Robertson to LFC is done... 8£mm.. rising to £10mm..

Look to be a good signing... not great, but thats okay..

I still have a feeling Milner will be the starter on opening day... Robertson will get his chances and will need to prove he's a better option at LB to Klopp...

RBL don't look like they're budging on Keita. Will we up the offer to £70-75. They've been pretty insistent so far. Not much you can do if they don't wanna sell.

Can't say I'm the most excited about Robertson but at least he's a LB. He's still a little young to learn, but I'd feel a little better if he was being mentored by an actual LB

Quote from the owners of RBL -

"To sell him would not only be a proof of distrust to our fans, but also the wrong sign for our players like Timo Werner, who is in demand too."

That sure sounds like more of a final decision than a negotiation tactic.

Makes no sense to me because they know they will lose him next summer to someone (probably not us) for 20m+ less, but unless we are prepared to go higher, I think that leaves us looking at alternatives.

With Lucas and Stewart gone(rumors are Hull is buying him for a couple million less than what we are paying for Robertson) headed out, I do think we either need to be prepared to have a U23 CM/CDM available, or bring in one more midfielder regardless.

Solanke puts us up 1-0 in Hong Kong.

I'm wondering how much this kid can develop....

Origi makes it 2-0...

I don't see why Solanke cant develop... He has a lot of the tools. He stalled a bit last year, because Chelsea sort of froze him out when he refused to resign...

Just saw that AFCON will most likely be moved to June/July.

Just read Stewart to Hull for £8m.

Anyone a little nervous about this Neymar to PSG possibility? Have to think they'll go after Phil hard if that happens.

Hypothetically, what's the number you can't say no to?

It's all getting meaningless really. If we did get some unforeseen amount and went out to try and replace Coutinho whatever player we try to replace him with will have an insane "adjusted" price tag put on him by the selling club. The footie transfers market has gone nuts. There has to be a correction in the medium term.

Would anyone trade Coutinho for Kieta? Barcelona put in a £72m bid for Cou and was immediately rejected.

Reports are saying Barçelona have bid £72 mil for Phil. Barçelona I've read will have to sell to generate that kind of money. They are not flush with cash like Real Madrid right now. I think it will take way more than that to think about selling Phil.

ETA: beat to it

They will have the money if they sell Neymar. We could probably even get £100m out of them.
