For those wondering, today's City/Tottenham match has implications on Liverpool's campaign.
Spurs win over City keeps our CL hopes alive. Yeah. We actually still have CL hopes. Although this would slide us back to 6th overall for the moment.
City win over Spurs solidifies our 5th spot and Europa. Kiss CL goodbye.

COYS!!! Don't think they will pull it off though...
I'd be happy for them to temporarily gain back 5th spot, since they come to Anfield this weekend...

City can do no better than two draws in there last three for Pool to stay alive.
It doesn't matter if Spurs win today because we can take care of them this weekend.
Bottom line a draw today does't kill us but a City loss is much better.

Europa it is, then.
Just need to take care of business this weekend.

I can't see them beating us at Anfield...
They are 1-4-7 in their last 12 games...

and I remember when we were a few points clear of the drop zone (although, I never feared relegation)...

Speaking of charts, Opta had a crazy stat. They made a table for what would have been had shots the hit the woodwork gone in. Arsenal had the title clinched weeks ago in that fantasy world. :(
Pool is certainly on the up and up. Going to be a crazy season next year.

It's on Liverpool's official site, too. I think this was the worst kept secret around...now we can get to the business of bringing in quality players this summer...
All Hail KK!!!

Chairman Tom Werner added: "It was extremely important that we enjoyed a period of stability after some difficult times and Kenny has done a tremendous job over the last three months in bringing the whole club back together. It's clear how much the players have responded to his leadership, his man management skills and knowledge of the game and that sense of optimism now runs throughout the club.
"We have a clear vision of the way a Liverpool team should play and the way the club should be run and Kenny's inspirational effect on the senior squad and his keenness to involve and feature the younger players from our Academy set-up sits perfectly with that way of thinking."
Steve Clarke also signed a three year deal.

Good point...from all accounts, he has really made a difference on the training ground...

I'm surprised this didn't get its own thread. I vote sticky
(Not being serious about the sticky)
