I was never very confident that we could win Europa anyway. So, this Laca news just keeps me from getting my hopes too high. I think the optimism of getting in the UCL through Europa was just based on MANU from last year. We don't have the team or manager to win it. As much as I hate him, Jose has been a winner more recently and knew how to win that tournament last year.

I'm just worried about the not expected first half sub after ElNeney gets dragged off by a polar bear in the 20th minute.

lol, didnt he just get an assist for you jokers? But nah, continue to play hazard up front and see what happens instead of a guy that can actually hold the ball up for a player like hazard.

Just watched extended highlights. Any thoughts? How did AMN look in midfield?

He was pretty good. He lost the ball a bit which is expected due to his inexperience. Got pushed off the ball a couple times so he needs to get stronger. He had an impressive 18 ball recoveries though. Worked really hard.

We kind of just walked through that game. Ozil looked like he came alive in the end of the game. Iwobi was really the only attacking player I felt ran around a shite load tying to do stuff. Welbeck looked not so great and honestly think we will struggle later in the tourney if hes our only option. He didnt look to really score, but he wasnt bad at passing and didnt give the ball away a bunch. I just feel like Monreal is more likely to score in any given game than welbeck.

Defensively we were fine outside of the bellerin tackle in the box and mustafi prob should have had a red early on. Ospina saved a pk and made some good saves. I thought ANM was ok, when he did lose the ball hes quick enough to track back.

The other team looked like complete dog shite until they went down 2-0 and then decided to actually play. But i know they are kind of in pre season rt now. Should be easy win at home next week though.

Arsenal have extended their shirt sponsorship deal with Emirates until 2024, calling it the largest commercial contract in the club's history.

Emirates have been Arsenal's shirt sponsor since 2006 and the current deal runs until 2019. The latest five-year extension "is the largest sponsorship deal ever signed by the club," Arsenal said in a statement.

While the club didn't disclose the value of the deal, it should exceed the £150 million five-year deal they signed with Puma in 2014.

Something like this?

It looks like adidias may be the leading candidate to replace Puma.
