Where is the Union Jack? Or the Lion? Or any of Great Britain's colors?

I think it's just zoomed way in and to the right of the Union Jack.

I think designers make it a point to make ugly kits now adays.

Just noticed Adidas is the sponsor. I'm no longer surprised. Umbro does a great job with England's kits, maybe the UK should have stuck with the head dog's sponsor.

I'm guessing because it's not just England on this team...

For the full national team:
quote:

No United Kingdom national football team currently exists, as there are separate teams representing England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in football. These national teams compete in the World Cup and European Championships and other internationals. A UK team has played in friendly matches, though never in a full FIFA international and not since 1947.

For the Olympic team:

quote:

The Great Britain football team first competed at the second Olympic football tournament, held at the 1908 Summer Olympics, and competed in or attempted to qualify for a further ten Olympic Games, up to and including the 1972 Games. The team was operated by the English Football Association (FA) as an off-shoot of the English national amateur football team for this period, though occasionally players from the rest of the UK competed for the team. [7] In 1974 the FA abolished the official distinction between amateur and professional players, and thus abolished the national amateur team: the Olympic side was thus also disbanded.
The Olympic football team has been reformed, again run by the FA, for the 2012 Olympic Games, which are to be hosted in London.[8][9]

Thanks. Didn't know that. This will be the first Olympics that I pay any attention to soccer.

Does this mean they have a chance to be relevant?

Umbro

Former English player in sportswear and boots, lost in the global multinational domination race which has shaken out to be Adidas, Nike, then everyone else (sorry Puma), relegated to irrelevant (along with quasi sibling Reebok), and likely soon to perish.

My sources tell me that the three overage players for Team GB will be:

David Beckham
Joe Cole
Either Ryan Giggs or Craig Bellamy

That would be awesome.

Not really likely to perish being that Nike owns Umbro.
