I don’t care how we got it, I’ll take that over Man U any day. I feel good about where we are as a team and think we can make a run for one of the cups.

What a run of matches. Going to enjoy this season before that inevitable Jose 3rd year crash comes.

Also, Son-Kane-Bale is going to be terrifying for any team trying to play a higher line.

A lot of really solid performances. I thought today was hojbjerg’s best game as a spur. Granted it’s a lot easier to operate in the middle when the opposition is down a player, but he had some nice breakups, switched play numerous times and had a great assist to Aurier.

The bailly stepping on Harry’s Achilles should’ve had him sent off. Despicable. And the Luke Shaw foul on Moura should’ve been a red as well. frick him. There’s a tactical foul to stop a break, and then there’s taking a full cut out of a guy. Ironically the red martial got was weak AF. I get why they give it, but yellows for both him and lamela should’ve been the decision.

Overall, really pleased with where the squad appears to be, and to have come through this stretch of fixtures. Now I just hope they can keep Tanguy away from the buffet over the break.

P.S. I hope we didn’t just essentially hire Pochettino for United after embarrassing them.

Hojbjerg is so fun to watch. Him and Allan may be my favorite two players in the Prem currently.

Spot on. Agree with all of this.

I'm really looking forward to Woodward impulse buying on Deadline Day

Yeah this worries me a bit. Are we their Everton. Lol. Sancho & Pochettino imminent?

Oh, and shout out to Lamela. His constantly being a pest was what led to that quick recovery goal for Tanguy, and then obviously he got a player sent off. Peak Lamela shithousery of the highest order.

Tier 1 sauces saying we’re officially out of the running for Skriniar.

Outside chance still for a CB like Kim Min Jae or a homegrown loan but may be a quiet Deadline Day for us

Do we really have a two-week break? Am I missing a game somewhere?

Also, any word on Bale coming back after the break? I'm having good thoughts of Bale, Kane, and Son destroying the PL.

That's what I keep hearing, hopefully it works out that way.

Apparently Spurs are still in for Joe Rodon (centerback) from Swansea. Being that he is in the EFL he can be signed after the Prem's deadline day.
Perhaps Comrade Etm can fill us in on him.

For once we can be excited about a quiet deadline day

Props to Levy and Co for getting deals done early, especially Hojbjerg, which allowed him a few weeks to adjust. I really think this squad is out of excuses. We have depth at every position and just made it through a brutal stretch of games while still trying to develop match fitness. I think the lack of competition for places towards the end of Pochettino's run and the beginning of Mourinho's played a big role in our poor form. Pochettino said as much when discussing refreshing the squad. The fact that Dele has to compete every week to just be listed in the squad much less the starting 11 is a luxury we have not had. There are no more guaranteed starts on this team minus Lloris, Kane, & Son.

Lo Celso, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Alli, Sissoko, Winks, Lamela, Moura, Bale, Bergwijn all fighting for minutes is only going to make the better.

I can honestly say watching that rest of this season that if we don't get the results we need I think it will have nothing to do with Levy and the board. Responsibility needs to fall on the coaching staff and players from this point forward to get results and win a trophy.

I see Rodon was signed. I am not familiar with him. Is he likely to contribute significantly?

22 year old CB, one of the best in the Championship.

Definitely one for the future, but should provide adequate cover right off the bat if he has to play now.

If anything he’ll be great for us in the Carabao & FA Cups for some good experience. Potentially spot duty in some PL games especially when the schedule gets tight at end of December

Haha, every time we play West Ham or West Brom I expect a very sloppy close game and about 22 players parked in the box.

Per Dan Kilpatrick on Twitter: “Dele and Dier not expected to play; Bale and Vinicius on the bench”
