It would be a waste to play him as a #6

I'm sure he'd be happy to do it under Pep and with one of the best sides in the world.

Regardless, apparently PSG are willing to spend like 120 mil for him

I think Otamendi is our most improved player under Pep. I don’t know that there is anyone else I’d rather have in the side.

Otamendi and Stones are our first choice CB’s at this point.

Otamendi

Has been the best CB in the league this season. Amazing turn around for him. Defense, passing, scoring. Never saw it coming.

He was dreadful, I thought, in the Everton game, but outside of that game he's been outstanding all season regardless of with whom he's been partnered.

Come get him. He doesn't want to be here and it shows. Although I don't see why City still wants Alexis when they have Sane, Sterling, and Bernardo as wingers/wide midfielders.

I was kind of "ehhhh" on Sanchez over the summer because of this. Sane is great but still a little inconsistent. Sterling is absolutely on FIRE right now though. Then you throw in Bilva who seems to be coming around lately and I'm not really sure we need him.

IF Kun goes I would love to have Sanchez but other than that I'm not sure where he slots in right now.

I agree, I'd like Sanchez in the event that Kun leaves. If Sanchez comes in January, that may be the straw that breaks the camel's back for Kun. I'd hate to ruin the chemistry of this team right now. Pep clearly knows what he's doing, so I'm not too concerned.

Txiki was supposedly in San Sebastian....can only assume that if it’s true it means Inigo is coming.

Well if you're looking for a left footer who can put balls over the top of the defense, you've found the right guy. Towards the end of the video he has some wonderful free kicks as well.

He's just not very tall, and I'm not really sure he's a good leaper either. He's about the height of Otamendi, but Ota really gets up. He's much older than I thought at 26.

Just finished this second one, the first two minutes are him sliding in to every tackle. I started having Otamendi circa 2015 flash backs. If they sign this guy, they might as well ship Mangala out in January. There's no reason to have 3 left footed CBs, especially when one will never see the field.

It is painfully obvious that it’s going to take someone in our side breaking their leg in half to get any kind of a call.

Kane, Alli, Newcastle guy, Puncheon....all committed complete shite challenges that are reds any day of the week unless it’s us playing. It’s painfully pathetic.

Chelsea only 14 points back. The pressure is really on now.

Completely agree.

But man, I just watched Pep's postgame presser, and he impresses me more each an every week.

As I was leaving the Sydney Harbor fireworks last night (subtle brag—and Happy New Year from down under), a bloke from the red side of Manchester gave me and my friends a nice push onto a jam packed train leaving the festivities. We jawed back and forth a little, all in good fun. I left the encounter with a feeing of smug superiority because my side had the upper hand this season.

Then I wake up to this carnage.

Today's the first time I really wanted to / was able to watch a match and it being on that stupid NBC gold. We've been pretty lucky up to now.
