So even if the ball and part of the player is in the box it's still not a pen if the contact is outside? That's dumb.

I’m amazed at how many guys had so much confidence coming into this season (Pulisic, Havertz, Werner, etc.) and now it has just completely evaporated.

Every one of those players did great outside of this season. The common denominator is Frank’s tactics with them. They’re extremely talented. It’s time for the board to admit this and move on from frank.

Right there, Reece just took a shot in the back but stayed on his feet so there was no call. Any other team that guy goes down and it’s not a corner. We’re not smart. Reece sucks

Somethings wrong with the ball movement, there is 0 creativity. I don’t mind giving up 1 or even 2 goals if our offense is tearing it up. We have so much money invested in our forwards and midfield and they aren’t getting it done. There’s so much empty space in that 3/4 half of the field and that’s where the disconnect is. The ball is constantly going out wide for a cross, which is fine even half the time but it’s 80%. We have nothing through any gaps. No pressing for 50/50 balls. No heart. That has to fall back on the manager at some point.
The chances of the issue being these individual players, and not the tactics, with their talent is very slim.

Just finished the game, and this is my main takeaway too. So many creative attacking players for Chelsea, and they all look stagnant as hell.
I think this was one of the worst games I’ve seen from Chelsea under Lampard. They players are starting to look like they don’t give a frick.

I think our talent is being over stated. It's obvious Havertz and Werner suck and are both mentally weak. Tammy and CHO shouldn't be starting at a club like Chelsea either. Pulisic showed flashes for like a month. Ziyech looks the part but he can't stay healthy.
Olivier Giroud and Mason Mount are our most consistent players, let that sink in.
