Injured till mid February.

We have no creativity from midfield. We go wide and hope for the best. We need a James Maddison type.

Did we even have a lot when we had hazard? Seems like having a player that dynamic you can just let him create magic.

The lack of creativity the past few years had more to do with the managers of the past. You should be able to have a pretty good attack when you had Hazard and Willian on the wings

we've been awful in the final third since Cesc and Costa left. Club never replaced those guys and we relied solely on Eden to do anything.
Michy sucks. Emerson has been awful too. Kepa never seems to make the saves you need, which is made worse when every keeper we face makes multiple big saves per game it seems.
that was CHOs best game since he came back so thats a good sign. sell Michy and Giroud and sign literally anyone else and it would be an upgrade.

Tough call, but where do you all rank the transfer needs? I'm going LB, CB, CAM, GK, ST, Winger, but you can make an argument for any order of those.

Lamps subbing on RB (he is a major step down) for our final sub was the killer. It meant an injured Tammy had to stay on. Kepa should have done much better there too.
He has been a bag of shite between the sticks.
As for the 1st goal...Kovacic really shite the bed. Kante slipping was an accident. shite happens. Kovacic, however, was slooooow to track, and actually stopped his recovery run. This meant Emerson was caught in no man's land. It was pathetic and inexcusable by Kovacic.
In the transfer window, we need help everywhere.
We need:
A finisher besides Tammy. We move the ball well, we just need a legit scoring threat.
A legit Keeper. Hell, PC on his headgear would have been an upgrade this season, even at 40+ years old.
Central midfielders. We are VERY average at that position imho. Despite the gaffe, Kante is still excellent if he is used correctly.
Defender
We are young there, but man, talk about growing pains. Having one youngster there isn't so bad. Two = issues.

Yeah, im of the opinion that our biggest issue is wasteful chances. We need competition for Tammy.
We need more attacking threat from midfield too. We dont have a single mid who can really test a defense. RLC will help, but not this year.

I'd invest in a top CB above everything. Pay 100 million for the next VVD, Koulibaly, etc. He will make everyone else around him look so much better just with on field organization. I'd then look for a LB and new midfielder. We need a lot of things, but I think starting with the CB will help us the most immediately.
