Hate Sunday matches. Really bummed we aren't playing Saturday.

Yeah, I am also not a fan of Sunday matches. An added bonus of not being in Europa is less Sunday matches thankfully.

Looking forward to a great season this year. Going to be a great weekend and a fun game to start the season on. I'm happy Super Frank is here to lead the way.

I'm also happy our English beef legend has been reposted and that my original screen grab of him is still being remembered

David Luiz to Arsenal? Damn, I think we need his experience at least until Rutiger comes back. I was concerned about the back four before this, now I'm very worried.

He was supposed to be the veteran tone setter. Even gave him a multi year contract past 30. Wtf David?

Seriously wtf?

Arsenal?

After just signing a new contract...this makes no sense.

Dave shouldn't be playing outside back. Rudy/Dave needs to be the CB pairing.

We can’t overreact from today. We aren’t at full strength and it’s a young squad. We played well basically the entire first half. I’ll watch the replay and hopefully can be more objective.

I don’t think that was our choice. There’s clearly more to the story because we wouldn’t have sold a starter on deadline day to a rival otherwise.

Kante
Willian
Rudiger
RLC
CHO

That’s five guys that are legitimate starters that we don’t have right now. Again, the sky isn’t falling.

That is the weakest team, by far, we've fielded in my decade plus of being a Chelsea fan and we still controlled the first hour of the match.

Obviously we didn't respond well once we went down 2 but anyone expecting anything other than a long season in the first place was kidding themselves. Need to get healthy asap.

So as someone who didnt have access to TV or internet for a weekend, did we just play fricking terribly? Or did we start an awful lineup and play like shite? I saw the score and just laughed, but I'm just curious as how to everyone played. I assumed we were going to be shite this year anyways but 4-0 to United is pretty embarrassing.

Played them straight up the first half. Actually, we had one from Emerson hit the post and another hit the crossbar that could’ve changed the entire outlook of the game. Zouma committed a stupid foul in the box and that’s how they got their 1-0 lead at half but we outshot them and out possessed them in the first half. They scored two within 90 seconds in the second half and that was it. Kante and Pulisic didn’t play until about 25-30 mins left in the game and we couldve used them earlier but I don’t think Lampard wants to rush either of them.

Having said that, I was really encouraged by our speed, attacking and athleticism. We look fast which is totally different from last year. Obviously we need time to meld together but we have the pieces, and getting the others back will be the difference maker. However, we cannot afford to fall too far back and still hope to make top 6.
