I figured they announce it today. Friday, good vibes for the weekend. But i guess they may wait in case we lose to chelsea then announce it.

This window has been an overall bummer for me. Offloaded hardly enough dead weight, and keeping some cancerous players. Pretty deflated with the Xhaka news.

I think 17 million pounds is more than enough for Xhaka. Just move on.
The only way I am happy to keep Xhaka is if Azeez can break into the edge of the 1st team this season. I wouldn't mind not buying anyone if Arteta rates Azeez highly enough to count on him for 5 to 10 games this season.
That kid as well as Petino are fricking monsters in the academy. We have produced some damn gems the past 5ish years. Azeez and Petino making it big at Arsenal would be huge.
That said, Azeez is still young and Petino is a year away at the earliest.

50m is a good price for White. Especially considering how insanely overvalued young English players are in England.

I think Arsenal fans take issue because we shelled out 28m for a cb that has yet to play a single game for us.
I personally believe Ben White will be great for us, but that wasnt a perceived position of need because we have holding and saliba. And Chambers can play on the rt side as well.

I watched most of it. The Partey injury is really bad news, fingers crossed it’s on the less serious side. We need to sign a midfielder ASAP. If it’s Xhaka-El Neny starting the first game I’ll be livid.
Good notes; Willock “scored” again (no goal line technology) and looked very good. Eddie Nketiah who I’ve never been a fan of has been our best forward this preseason by far. Lokanga looks like he belongs at this level.

If Xhaka plays like he did in the EUROS he will be one of the best players on the roster...I know, big if, but I think it is worth the chance. He was playing much better the last third of last season.
