Kubo on loan to Villarreal this season.
He´s now worth 2M more than Bale, according to Transfermarkt.

Kubo ya vale más que Bale Transfermarkt ha actualizado los valores de la plantilla del Real Madrid. El japonés eleva su valor hasta los 30 millones, mientras que el galés cae a 28.

The big news is Kobe being sent to Villarreal.
This means he´ll be a pre injury Marco Asensio level player at minimum, and likely a superior player, in 2021.
Things are looking good in Chamartín.

Did he not recover well from his injury?

It´s sealed.

Jury´s out. The general impression is that he´ll regain something very close to previous capability, but may not grow or evolve.
Further to the little Hirohito..... Simply, Kubo´s the real deal, in my opinion. Being Japanese, major coups for RM, as well. Checks many world marketing boxes.

If we could sign another Tony Martial I think we would. He has absolutely crushed it this season

At least its still a loan. Hope Real keep Kubo, he played great during the season and performed well.

In owner transfer news:
quote:
A consortium led by U.S. businessman Dan Friedkin has signed a deal to buy Serie A club Roma. "AS Roma SPV will transfer to Friedkin its controlling interest held in the club and some related activities, including the funds it has made available to the club to support its expected capitalization," a statement said.
quote:
The transaction is expected to close by the end of August 2020."
