Tottenham have contacted Antonio Conte as candidate for Spurs job - not done but talks ongoing about potential project, contract and salary. #Spurs #THFC
Conte is one of the options in #THFC list - as PSG are still on the same position about Pochettino. @SkySport @aalciato

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Manchester City's England winger Raheem Sterling, 26, in a deal that could stop England striker Harry Kane, 27, joining City from Tottenham.
How does this make any sense? If anything selling sterling would create a bigger need to sign another forward

There is so much shite reporting this time of year.
Also, the thought of Arsenal helping Spurs keep Kane is hilarious. I think they would pull out of the deal if they knew it meant Kane would stay

Understand Aston Villa have moved ahead in the pursuit of Emi Buendia. They are closer to meeting Norwich’s demands.

Buying Buendia for when/if they sell Grealish?

On #avfc and Emi Buendia: initial fee of around £30m agreed with Norwich. Personal terms agreed and he has undergone his medical in Argentina today. Add-ons included, plus a sell-on. Will be a record signing for Villa and record sale for Norwich #ncfc
Think this is a good deal for a club like villa. Buendia is a good player but for that money I don’t think he really moves the needle at a club with Arsenal’s ambitions.

Arsenal have begun work on a deal to sign Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Portugal midfielder is one of a trio of high-value players who the Chinese-owned club have made available for transfer this summer. [Times]

That kind of comment tells me you don’t really follow the league these days.

I watch plenty of it
And plenty of older Euros or guys coming from Europe are still coming to MLS
That’s not debatable
Chica
Nani
Blaise
Higuaín
Alone in the past two years have gone to MLS

You named four players
Statistically MLS has a much younger average age than most other leagues in our hemisphere. Again you just want to hammer a point you know little about. Times change, and so should your ill developed hot takes.

Lol it proves older players from big leagues still come here to retire
I know a bunch of young guys get their shot
Still doesn’t change older big names come here to end their careers
