After the 2016 election Facebook eliminated traffic to the most influential pro-Trump websites.

quote:

Zuckerberg then mentioned that breaking up Facebook would only make fighting misinformation and harmful content more difficult. Any smaller company spawned from the breakup, he suggested, would spend less on policing its service, implying that its leader would inevitably choose profits over corporate responsibility.

“The success of this company has allowed us to fund these efforts at a massive level,” Zuckerberg said. “We’re able to do things that are just not possible for other folks to do.”

Who are the targets? We all know.

More government intervention

But honestly in the beginning of our country the founders had it right.. businesses had very little power, were temporary, and could be broken up easily.

Forcing the break up of Facebook sounds great but won’t solve underlying problems.

I’m for less intervention. Let them be. They will enjoy the rights of a publisher and not a platform. The lawsuits they are currently immune from because of government intervention are now on the table.

Breaking up Facebook is easy.

We just need a law suit challenging their BS patents and supposedly IP rights.

Other social networks have popped up and FB sues them out of existence . FB claims you cannot copy your own info over to another site because once you put something on FB, it belongs to them. Challenge that, and say bye-bye to FB’s dominance .

This is a beacon to the left..."break us up, and the new companies wont have enough money to do your bidding"

What are said problems?

I never heard of any problems Facebook solved and mankind, even this nation, existed quite nicely, might even say "thrived", before Facebook.
