These people are fricking insane. That is 9.6 tests per month and 115.75 tests annually. I don’t even think you could make 3 billion tests a month, nevertheless distribute them. They just have to be fricking with us at this point.

Why not 10 billion, Zeke?

Hell, everyone should just have to wear a permanent test hanging from their nose that auto-updates every two hours. Then we'll stop the spread.

He specifically says Americans there.

Because the goal has shifted to the insane, unobtainable “zero CoviD,” which the “experts” should know better than to seek.

It's not possible with our politicization of the pandemic, but South Korea is a country of >50 million with fewer than 5K COVID deaths due to its testing programs, vaccine adherence, widespread masking, etc. And done without the Chinese-style lockdowns.

Our population distribution and geographic scale compared to South Korea are just as big of factors, IMO. Same with Israel.

I don't think we would be as successful as Korea, just a lot more successful than we are.

When a country's politics are directed around strategies undermining authoritative sources of knowledge, they're going to have poor public health outcomes. Look at Russia. Highest rates of excess deaths in the world right now. Disinformation kills baws.

Maybe they should stop lying if they want to regain our trust.

1) I’m sure Koreans are obese slobs
2) Their culture breeds compliance to authority
3) there’s no way in hell you believe comparing cross country data is setting in good faith
