A Yale University law professor recently suggested that "we hide immigrants from ICE if we have to," insisting that this would only constitute "civil disobedience," not aiding and abetting criminals.

It's pathetic that people want to protect illegal immigrants from ICE. Liberalism is a mental disease.

I agree. And I think he should walk the walk by hiding half a dozen or so in his own house, with everything that goes along with that.

The US legal system will suggest you spend time in prison for that.

I know of an illegal who has been deported 11 times that would be perfect for the "professor" to hide in his house.

In New Haven, CT, it’ll be really easy to hide a bunch of Canadians in plain sight.

If that was upheld in court can you say 'slippery slope.'

The political climate is too tense for illegals in the US. All those seeking asylum and crossing illegally should be ferried north to the Canadian border where the liberals prosper. See how that works out.

He probably wouldn't mind his picture, home address, email address and cell phone number made public to ICE, I bet.

I was reading through the Pentatuch recently and when reading about sanctuary cities, it's clear that the cities were for protection against vigilante justice for involuntary manslaughter. It wasn't a catch-all to escape any and all purposeful crime.

These people are coming here purposefully and purposefully breaking our laws. No shelter should be given.

Well, since Canada may have LOST 50000 Syrians they probably have a chance to fend for themselves without anybody asking after them.

Of course, good look finding much about that in the media.

I'm not sure when people seem to have disconnected "civil disobedience" from "breaking the law". Acts of civil disobedience have always been against the law, by definition. In short, hiding an immigrant from ICE can be simultaneously an act of civil disobedience and the crime of aiding and abetting, or being an accessory after the fact, to criminal activity. They aren't mutually exclusive.

He should take a few in.

In fact, ICE should promise not to raid his house as long as he pays for their food, clothing, and health insurance and they stay on the property.

This is a good thing. Arrest those that's aiding and abetting and you kill two birds with one stone. Win/Win sort of thing.
