I might, yes. SCOTUS is one of the most important issues to me when voting.

You think him getting another SCJ will drive his voters away?

You’ve got to do what it takes to win the presidency. Thomas is probably going to retire next term. You don’t want the next President, if a Dem, replacing RBG, Breyer and Thomas.

Yes. And it’s tough, because next President might get to name 2 more....,but would rather guarantee 1 now and keep the Senate to block dem appointments for 4 years

Yes. The next justice would be on the Court for 30+ years if they're in their late 40s currently.

Yes. Trump would just have 4 more year. SCOTUS would have a lifetime and would finally make it conservative cancelling Roberts our.

In this hypothetical wouldn’t you get both of what you want if Trump wins?

The hypothetical to me asks would you take Trump losing if you knew a conservative Justice would be confirmed. At least that’s how I read it. I assumed the alternative was the risk of him not getting one confirmed and having to hope he wins the election.

Yes, but I'd prefer they just push it through after the election either way.

No. Unfortunately it seems like only the conservative judges become liberal and not vice versa. Stack the court. More will die in the next few years.

Hell no! The presidency much more important than one Supreme Court seat. While it would be great to have the Conservative justice in place, there are 3 other justices that are over 70, one, Breyer is 82, Thomas is 72 and Alito is 70. The next 4 years, may see them replaced and I would rather Trump makes those appointments than Biden.

Biden will pack the court if they get someone through before the election.
