Would you be willing to take a more traditional, stringently tested vaccine?

Personally I would feel more open to taking it. I’ve never been anti vaccine. In fact the Covid vaccine not withstanding, I’m pretty current on my vaccinations. I’m just not willing to jump in line to be a Guinea pig for a vaccine with zero long term study data and politicized/censored short term study data. mRNA gene therapy is also considered experimental, and typically confined to research studies so there’s that.

I have a strong immune system in that the flu never puts me down, and CO-19 was even less serious than the flu for me. I’ll pass.

nope, im not even going to consider taking it until they say after you get the jab, you will no longer ever be required to have a mask or social distance and eliminate any limitations on doing anything you damn well please while completely maskless and crammed together in large groups

the vaccine either works or it doesnt, if it doesnt im not taking you experimental drugs

now its your move ......

Possibly. I may yet take the mRNA - the technology is intriguing, just unproven.

I've just already had it and natural antibodies are likely to be effective for decades.

I typically don’t take the flu shot yearly. I think it kills roughly 70,000 people a year. Rarely get the flu. I’ve already had COVID, so I suspect my immunities are as high or higher than those with the vaccine.

I would. If I were certain that it works and is safe. Im convinced there are other therapies out there right now that work and are much safer, but we wont be allowed to take them anytime soon.

The only mandated "vaccine" by this govt will be from big pharma, whether it works or is safe is irrelevant.

Something doesnt add up with this virus or the vaccine. I will wait it out. Oh but u can get some free french fries....

How do the elitists, look at us?
Its like the argument for mail in ballots.... Because Black Americans do not have ID's!
Seriously and freaking french fries.
The elitist are so out of touch with reality, its like a totally different country or culture is running this madness.

There are two factors that one should consider when it comes to a new vaccine:

1) How well is this tested? What are the long term effects? Obviously, for novel viruses, this is not possible. But I'd like to see at least a 7 year clinical trial period.

2) The risk of the disease. Is it polio? Are people all over ending up crippled or in iron lungs? If the known risk of the diseases is great, then maybe you accept the unknown risk of the untested vaccine.

But the risk of COVID is low.
So the risk of the unknown vaccine holds more weight, unless maybe you're in one of the COVID "high risk" groups.

Agreed.

Does that include the endless stream of vaccine fear porn on this board?

I’m pretty certain I had Covid in late November or early December of 2019. I rarely get sick but whatever I had kicked my arse. Doctor said i had a severe respiratory infection but all the traditional tests came up negative. Strangely enough I haven’t had so much as a head cold since. I would be curious as to what an antibody test would reveal

Not if it meant less freedom and more government interference in people’s personal life. Not to mention the hypocrisy. It’s politically driven, probably some sort of sterilization. they want to minimize the white race to minority status which is why there is no pressure on blacks or Hispanics (especially illegals) to get it.

Well to be fair, there is an endless MAIN stream Media stream of "country music listening buffoons" should get the vaccine. Every liberal news network spouts this every night and day.

You see Europeans and the Australians in the streets with their endless stream of vacicne fear, I guess they are all Bubba's too.

My answer is yes. I would take the Novavax vaccine. I'm waiting on it.

There is a thread on it, with reasoning why I would take it.

The vaccines available at present are experimental, have high adverse reaction events as vaccines go, and unknown long term consequences.

The disclaimer they ask you to sign says as much.

The mRNA vaccine is a novel technology which presents a very smart solution for specific features of robust RNA viruses. If we had a mass vaccination effort, we could possibly take advantage of selective pressures to drive SARS-COV2 past its error mutation rate, which would be amazing.

This is true, and it’s cringe.

So do people not get it just because they say this? Sounds like the behavior of a toddler.
