De Blasio on March 10th: “We want to encourage” NYers going out. "If you’re under 50 & you’re healthy, which is most NYers, there’s very little threat here. This disease, even if you were to get it, basically acts like a common cold or flu. And transmission is not that easy."

NY State Sen. John Liu on Feb. 2nd: “There's no need to panic and to avoid activities that we always do as New Yorkers. We are hardy people. As an Asian-American, I’ve been disturbed if not outright appalled by some of the comments or gestures that I have seen."

My point of this is not whataboutism.
My point is that these are major nyc authorities. These are who people listen to. Why some of you guys are choosing to absolve them of any guilt and put all your blame on orange man just seems so unfair to me.
bottom line: it is revisionist history to act like the entire country was screaming for djt to take this seriously in jan and feb. In reality, the vast majority of politicians were only taking it seriously around the time he began to.
there was only a single CV19 question (to amy k) at any 2020 dem debates.

Very revisionist as he shut down travel from China at the end of Jan, while being called a racist.

Those guys were wrong and were malfeasant.
That doesn’t excuse Trump from downplaying things early on. He’s the f’ing president.

Bad Orange Man didn't overrule him. Blumpf's fault.

The problem is almost half the country will not admit Trump is POTUS and will not take his advice, follow his lead or even adhere to his policies unless it’s time to blame him for something.
We all know if Trump would have tried to stop Mardis Gras, the Super Bowl, or advised New Yorkers to stay home, he would gave been severely criticized and these same people would not have listened to him. NY., Seattle, New Orleans, and all the others would have been sanctuary cities and Trump the enemy.

QDems seems to be wandering around aimlessly looking for a ballon to lift them to fantasy island through all this.

For weeks, it’s been hard to find many threads that aren’t just fawning over obscure state legislators and their role as heroes in the early fight against this crisis.
I wish some of the authors of those dozens of threads would come and face the music.

You're still confused.
I'm starting to worry about your state of mind.

The Wuhan thread on the OT started in late January.
I'll admit, I thought it was just another SARS where the hype was orders of magnitude more than the danger.

Paging Moon Griffon. You know you're bad when the right-wing blowhards won't call in because you sound so stupid.

ALL of the quotes above were after you and your filth called Trump a racist for the travel ban.
Every single one of them.
But you keep lying your arse off. That's literally all you have left, you sorry frick.

This is EXACTLY what they would have done and those tweets and quotes above were ALL in response to Trump's travel ban. They were pushing the "unite" theme. Hell, Schumer is STILL deleting old tweets off of his account calling Trump a racist and acting way too early.
VOR, Kickadog, and all the other filth would have been on here crying bc "Trump the Authoritarian" told the poor stupid black lady what to do and shut down Mardi Gras because he's a racist.
Their SOP is beyond disgusting and well beyond predictable at this point.

I called him stupid for allowing travel through the UK for 3 days after the ban.
What's up Boris!...I mean Britain's Trump

Example of how the left is hypocritical and disgusting.

How do you feel about his shutting down travel from China at the end of January?

For damn near three years you never showed up here for anything while Trump undid the disaster your hero left behind.
Yet, magically, when the economy hit the skids and we got back to Obama levels, here you are.
Strange how that works. It is almost as if you and your ilk don't contribute anything positive to any situation.
