You know what you are saying is just an excuse to get big goverment involved, most druggies would likely die in their home from an overdose.
What if it's your family in the other car?

The State shold have no control over individual comsuption of harmful substances, the state can not protect everybody from random acts of violence, the masses should have the means to protect themselves from random violence, the State obligations should be only to protect the borders and guarantee equal access to justice withih the system, everything else is not to be tolerated!

Would drug legalization/easier access to narcotics...

I don't think you understand what's going on out there. How hard do you think it is to get narcotics right now? What sort of quality control do you thnk exists on those drugs?

Then keep harming others illegal. We obviously can't prevent adults from consuming them. Why do we want to continue policy that's an abject failure? The only answer is it keeps people gainfully employed.

I don't agree with you that it is. The Netherlands learned quickly that legalizing hard narcotics only made the proliferation worse. And they tightened their drug laws because of it.

You will never agree with me either.

So, we're even.

The Netherlands has nothing to do with our failed drug policies. We have the highest incarceration rate in the world. Our narcotics operations don't/can't stop the flow of illicit drugs, and we artificially inflate the market and make it needlessly violent, all the while enriching the cartels.

How have they've been a success?
