Could explain a drop in the use of illegal drugs. It's just too easy to get a script.
They're cracking down on the scripts though. So now people are getting hooked om Rx drugs and when they can't get those they switch to hard stuff and OD.

Can You Overdose On Marijuana?
Effect of Ingesting Too Much Marijuana --“Greening Out”
A temporary overdose of marijuana can occur and is called “greening out.” It is important to understand that a temporary overdose of marijuana will not result in permanent disability or death, but can be quite common in people who have not used the drug often. The following are the symptoms of too much marijuana in the system:
Temporary feelings of paranoia, fear and anxiety
Shortness of breath
Pupil dilation
Vomiting and/or nausea
Fast heart rate
Shaking that is hard to control, feeling cold
Disorientation or hallucinations
Hangover
This phenomenon passes on its own within minutes to hours of marijuana use. If the symptoms are severe, medical attention needs to be obtained to make sure the user is closely observed for complications. There is a chance that some marijuana obtained on the street could contain stronger chemicals and drugs that could cause a person to become very ill. In this case, someone could suffer from dangerous side effects. There is also a slight risk of using too much marijuana with underlying health conditions and suffering severe reactions to the drug.

They're doing a shitty job. Illegal drug use has been declining, and prescription drug abuse is growing.
I'll bet there's less violence associated with it though.

I'd like to see the stats on that.
They hand that shite out like candy. If you can't get a script for what you need, you're doing it wrong.
Not sure how Rush Limbaugh got his.

That link is saying that you can pass out if you smoke too much, and wake up with no permanent harm.
You've got to be kidding me.

So you are claiming the legalization of marijuana ended cocaine, heroin, and meth trafficking?

No kidding, mo. The link I provided says it is possible to OD on weed.

I don't have any details or links but that's what I hear on the skreets. It's all anecdotal but I know two people that habe OD on heroin because they couldn't get the Rx shite they were used to.

Not so much.
But, once again, you're being obtuse.
Overdose on this board=deadly ingestion of narcotics.
Your definition is one that is similar to over-indulging.

That is not supported by the links which came up when I googled your claim. Here is just one of them.

Illicit Drug Use Illicit drug use in America has been increasing. In 2012, an estimated 23.9 million Americans aged 12 or older—or 9.2 percent of the population—had used an illicit drug or abused a psychotherapeutic medication (such as a pain reliever, stimulant, or tranquilizer) in the past month. This is up from 8.3 percent in 2002. The increase mostly reflects a recent rise in the use of marijuana, the most commonly used illicit drug.

It says it's possible to pass out and wake up with no permanent harm.
I'm fairly certain we don't classify every person that passes out from a hard night of drinking and wakes up fine as a person that overdosed.
And remember how you disregarded someone else's link for having a pot add on it? Do you see the irony in this? That site represents the medical establishment that benefits from cannabis being illegal. Don't have double standards.

I know. It's a fricking shame thatbdocs are allowed to get away with prescribing that shite as much as they do.

Marijuana funds are like football in major college athletics. Football finances all other sporting activity for the school. If the school were to lose it's football team due to gov't policy, there would not be nearly as much money coming in to fund baseball, basketball, and softball.

I think they should. I was responding to the guy who said they were cracking down.
It's the fastest growing and apparently most deadly segment of drug use.
If there's a free market for drugs, I imagine cheaper, safer alternatives will come about.
That's the great thing about freedom, and free markets, they drive innovation and lower prices.

So, it's easier to get heroin than prescription drugs??? I call BS. Even illegally, they are much easier to find than heroin.
Everyone knows a dealer, some just don't know it.
