With about 45 minutes left in their 24 hour cycle of reporting the stats, there have only been 82 deaths in NYC during this cycle. Yesterday's number was 277. Overall deaths in the U.S. and territories is 238 compared to yesterday's total of 525.

Might not be a trend but it's good news nonetheless.

Yeah, last night they added a bunch late. We'll see, hope it is down.

It's Sunday. Many of today's numbers will get reported on Monday.

Why? With what is going on you don't think these numbers aren't being reported just because it's Sunday? Death doesn't take a weekend and something tells me the reporting doesn't either.

I’m wondering are those actually today’s deaths — as in someone dies and then it gets entered into the system ASAP?

NY typically seems to report one medium batch in the morning, then one big batch in the evening. So I think we're still waiting on that later evening batch of data. Not sure why it happens like that.

And also there was a topic earlier today that showed a three day decline in ny deaths (or was it nyc?)

I'm listening or should I say looking for your numbers you have. Let's see them so we can all be up to date at once. Thanks.

I still think this virus will have a tough time the hotter it gets. I know it has spread in some warm countries but I wouldn’t be surprised if we look up one day and there will have been several days in a row of steep declines and everyone will start to relax a little.

Well I'm going to write down the number they report for today's cycle and then see what they show for today's number about this time tomorrow for today. You might be right, or not.

Look at the graph above.

See how busy Monday is?

Do you think people enjoy dying on Monday? Or is it more likely the way the reporting is being collected?

They update their numbers for the US 4-5 hours after their “24 hour clock”. I would expect at least 400 deaths

Cases are clearly underreported on weekends
