"How are our children still dying and why are we failing them," she asked. “These shootings, and these mass shootings, will continue to happen until our lawmakers step up and pass safer gun legislation."

If we really cared about people, we’d close the southern border and stop the flow of fentanyl and sex trafficking.

Guns dont kill people, people kill people. The day these people learn this is the day a solution will be possible.

If we really cared about people we would outlaw cigarettes and sugary drinks.

Gun control won't solve crazy. Only way to limit crazy is to stop the fearmongering in the msm and politics.

Stop brainwashing people into believing that another group of people want them dead and are hunting them.

The fearmongering is fricking up a lot of people from all sides.

The government could do lots of draconian things if we want to lose personal freedoms.
I’m not for more government control.

Much of the Left will bring up the Australian gun ban as the model of what's possible. They quote all sorts of statistics that prove how the ban has been super duper effective. But like so much of what the Left believes, it's fake.

It's cited bigly that suicide by firearm dropped like a rock. And it did, but what they don't mention (and you have to research yourself) is suicide rates have actually gone up since the ban. They're just offing themselves more quietly these days, but they're just as dead as the guy that puts a bullet in his brain.

And the murder by firearm rate dropped dramatically, too. This is also true, but if you consider the drop in murder rates throughout the developed world (including the US) over the same period, the Aussies land about in the middle of the pack.

Currently the demprogs are pushing the mentally ill toward violence and hatred. It's simply part of the left's historical DNA that has a lot to do with their murder of a 100,000,000 people since the rise of the USSR.

That screamer is an activist. Not a concerned citizen. We know this because she called the children of Christian’s “our children “.

Bitch, you hate those people and their children.

Jamaica had a horrible murder rate a few decades back and banned all civilian fire arms. They backed it up with special police, judges and prisons. They had a 25/100,000 murder rate then. They now have a 44/100,000 murder rate with the primary weapons being gangs of young men with manchettes (cutlasses for Trini).

Jamaica didn't have a gun problem they had a criminal problem. Disarming their home owners, business people and good subjects only made it worse.

You got 8 billion people on this planet. Odds are 2 billion are mental ill. You”ll never fix that. It’s probably worse now bc of covid lockdowns. History says you give up your guns, your government kills you or subject you to tyranny. These things are the price you pay to live if a free world. There will never be a perfect solution.

Smartest damn thing I have read on this site in many a moon. You cannot fix this. It can’t be done. Learn to be attentive, keep yourself aware of your surroundings. If someone comes after you or your loved ones, defend yourself to the fullest measure of the law.

Kids are dying because there is very little regard for the sanctity of human life in this country. When preborn babies can be slaughtered upon request of the mother, you shouldn't be surprised at any other form of violence.

Hey now! I smoke AND I drink sugary, yea, even carbonated, sugary drinks. However, I certainly agree with you regarding the cigarettes. As much as I enjoy them, I would be willing to give them up if made illegal. Truly, there is no reason tobacco shouldn't have been outlawed as a schedule one narcotic well ahead of marijuana being classified as such.

I would like to keep my sugary beverages though. The diet shite should definitely be outlawed though. That stuff is an abomination to nature! Even the ants won't get near that stuff when it's left outside.

Now, back to the topic at hand. I believe that we SHOULD have safer gun laws. Firearms should come out of the box zeroed in for perfect accuracy with no need for adjustments to the sights. That would make them much safer right off the bat. Gun owners should also be required to fire a minimum of 500 rounds through their weapon annually as well, and taxes on ammunition should be removed so as to ensure that gun owners could comply without financial difficulty. (I have no doubt that more than a few of the folks on here expend 500 rounds of ammunition at the range in a weekend. Compliance should be no problem there.)

How about enforcing the current laws before we write new ones we won't enforce?
