I work downtown and they gathered right in front of us initially. 80% must have been under 25 years old. Blacks as well as many whites. 500-1000 people? Not quite sure.

But what I realized and what struck me, these kids are hurting man.

This younger generation is so lost yall. They just want to be loved. They are desperate. I just got the feeling most of these kids have never had 2 parents that loved them, cared about them, and taught them.

I believe these kids aren't being told about God or Jesus Christ.

We need to pray for this young generation. Evil is so normal now it doesn't even shake us anymore, and the enemy is working so hard right now to destroy us.

They are hurting because the media is telling them nonstop propaganda. It’s poisoning their minds

If you tried, they'd instantly shut you out and wouldn't hear anything you said for the rest of the conversation.

They just aren't being taught period. Not from parents and not from schools. School curriculum in the United States are washed out to present the history they want you to see. That makes them infinitely more susceptible to following the herd and less likely to think for themselves. Talk to any high school/college kid and ask what they're being taught. It's all useless crap and half-truths.

That is a huge part of why they easily join these fringe groups, they want to feel like they belong to something bigger and are important.

Destruction of the family and destruction of the sense of pride by doing a good damn job has led these younger folks to a place where they dont belong or know how to

Kids are weak because their parents are weak.

Simple as that. Life is better today than any time in history.

People need to stop being pussies.

Many are spoiled and pampered. They think hardship is a cracked iPhone screen. They look for the movement of the week to bring meaning to their empty lives

That’s a wonderful and insightful takeaway and I wish more had empathy for them like this. Not the rioting, but the feeling of being lost and there’s not an economy for them to grow up in.

They said the protest was put together by high school students

When it was over they told everyone to be safe, continue Covid precautions & to disperse peacefully

I thought they did a good job although I didn’t agree with everything they were saying

They were respectful of each other & the city

Our youth are lost & as people move further from church it’s only going to get worse
Our children need families, stability & love

100% biggest problem in black community. And the ‘leaders’ won’t say a thing about it

They want to stop being over policed. Simple as that. This is a backlash against the militaristic policing that occurs throughout the country, we have to change the mindset of what law enforcement should look like. We live in the most incarcerated state in the world, something is severely wrong with that.

Yea. Let’s change police having military grade weapons by burning cities down. That will show them they don’t need it......

They are lost because all they know is what social media gives them.

They are all soup sandwiches

This isn’t normal and will pass. Once we get to normal then we don’t need police aggressively attacking us. We need them serving and protecting. They need to learn to be parts of their community instead of at war with it. If they continue to harass people for “looks like you went a little too far over the line” or “smells like marijuana let me search your car” then yeah the tension will alway be there.

"hurting" because of something 1000 miles away that they never would have heard of without the hype machine

Police don’t just wake up and have a list of people they need to beat the shite out of. That is false.

Do police have too much authority? Yes, but only after you “usually” fail to comply.

Looting and rioting is only going to hurt.

Upvote even though I don't like the Jesus part.
