They made it farther than any of them expected going in. Lack of quality midfielders bit them against a team with two of the best in the game.
So they won't be mad, just disappointed and hungover. More likely to mute protests that would happen.

If they beat Belgium in the 3rd place match they'll get over it.
I've got Belgium beating them 3-1 though.
Like you said, England's midfield lacks quality and Belgium has the best one in the world in De Bruyne.

A lot of Englanders were happy just to make it that far. Remember, this is only two years removed from being eliminated by Iceland in the Euro Cup. Plus, with an improvement on the midfield, this England team is very young and poised to make a decent run in the next decade.
