Will local law enforcement become privatized in the aftermath of this debacle of inaction.

Haliburton, Rathyion, the prison system has been moving in this direction for years now will the first responders namely the law enforcement branches follow suit?

I can see it from several positions.

The one area that I don’t think privatization should exist is the criminal justice system, whether it’s police departments, the courts, or the prisons.

That being said, if privatization means more accountability (e.g., getting rid of qualified immunity), scrutiny, and independent oversight, then it might be an improvement.

Any company in such a space would request full indemnity from civil suits. That ain’t gonna fly in this climate.

No but you will have to hire private security to supplement the cops if you live in the city. Just like private school.
