With the exception of Ron/Rand Paul, I can’t recall any major Presidential candidate taking a hands-off position on drug legalization—much less actively supporting decriminalization.

Legalization would seem to be a natural position for small-government Republicans, but it has been mostly Democrat states which have legalized pot so far.

Unfortunately, and as much as I love our beautiful orange GEOTUS, he seems stuck in the Nancy Reagan “Just Say No” mindset from the 1980s.

Will either side of the Uniparty ever admit defeat in the War on Drugs and start a commonsense move towards legalization?

Sen. Cory Gardner said Thursday that President Donald Trump told him he’d sign legislation to ensure states can decide for themselves whether to legalize marijuana, but that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell needs some more convincing.

Remember, a bill only hits the floor for a vote if the Majority Leader allows it.

That's part of the power of the Majority Leader, he decides what they will vote on and what they will not vote on.

Does he care about weed though? Doesn't really seem like it to me. He definitely targets painkillers more than anything else by far.

no. It simply gives the uniparty too much power and the they will not relinquish that control without a fight.

Just like the election we had in 2016. Just bc the people made a choice, doesn’t mean the uniparty in DC will get off the throne.

Power and money, untraceable black book/dark money.
