Will California refuse?

DeSantis is seeking to bring Harjinder Singh back to Florida from California to face charges for killing those 3 folks on the Florida Turnpike when he made an illegal U-turn with his big rig. Is California going to refuse extradition or harbor this illegal immigrant with their sanctuary policy?

Wait... that asshat is in Cali? Thought this happened in Florida?
Posted on 8/20/25 at 6:05 pm to SallysHuman
Yeah, I thought FL has him in custody.

If he was arrested in FL why did he get to go back to CA to begin with?

He hauled arse to Cali before he was arrested.

Holy crap I did not know that... yes, bring his arse back to Florida- send the feds to scoop him up.
How the hell was he not detained on site? He obviously pulled an illegal uturn resulting in an accident at the very least.

Thought he was at Aligator Alcatraz

All of the paperwork has been filed. He is being extradited tomorrow.
California has done enough for Harjinder Singh. I hope the families sue and are awarded at least a billion dollars.

How did he even leave the state of FL?

Every time I've seen that question asked the answer is "They are looking into it".
Someone definitely dropped the ball.
And as to the original question, I don't think Cali wants to go there. It will be an epic shitstorm if they try to shield him.

Nope. As another posted mentioned, Singh took off to California asap because he figured he would be safer there than Florida.

That is egregious. Come on, Florida!

What about the "training" company that gave him his CDL certification? What about the person(s) who passed him on his driving tests? What about the agency or persons who gave him his CDL license? I sure hope Trump puts ICE at every weigh station now. And...do away with the EZPASS so they can get more of these illegal, incompetent, and dangerous truck drivers OFF the road.

Hopefully, Florida has an extradition treaty with Mexico.
Posted on 8/20/25 at 7:34 pm to SouthEasternKaiju
His lawyer probably got him out of state.

The question in Ca., to me is did he get a CDL under false pretense or did someone in the Ca., motor vehicle division break some rules getting him approved.
