We went on a trip to New Mexico for that last week and a half. I had a couple of days where I felt sick (stomach mostly and odd joint pain). My wife seemed to be fine. We got back home last Wed. After 5 days or so, my wife took a Covid test so she would feel good about seeing the grand kids. It came back positive. We went to get a second opinion. She was positive for sure this time and mine showed negative.

We both had been vaxed around May/June of this year. I got pfizer (2 shots) and she got j&j (1 shot). She is showing no symptoms at all. If I had it, my symptoms were very mild and for a very short time.

Take of it what you will. I still don't believe in mandates as there are a lot of legit reasons for people to not get the shots. Their choice. It did not matter for us. We still got the covids. The shots are just an extra line of defense with risks too! They don't always work the same for everyone.

The government should not be communicating that vaccinations are a cure because they are not cures. There have been no full eradication of any diseases since the dawn of time. We all are Spanish Flu survivors. We all at some point will get the Corona. It sucks but it's a hard fact of life.

Your choice but be careful. Just found out my grandpa has stage 4 and he had labs after getting the jab (for knee surgery). 6 months later finding out he has Covid then finding out he has cancer all through his body. I can’t blame the shot but I have my thoughts. Basically saying I think shot masked his labs and more than likely accelerated the cancer as it tapered off.

We do not know long term effects of both the virus and vaccine.

Thanks for the words man!

True and true. It's a risk and not a sure fire thing. The government not communicating this is irresponsible.

I've heard if you have sex within 24 hours of receiving the shot it can negate any immune response from your body. You may need to wonder why she got it and your immune system was all over it.

Yep. It’s damned if you do, dammed if you don’t. I’ll be staying away from it, as I am a younger guy. I can understand why people took it as well. I’m not a hater on either side.

Sorry for your grandpa but to try to associate his cancer with the shot is idiotic.

They need to stop calling this breakthrough infections and just say the vaccines are weak.

The shot attacks organs just like the virus. You’re entitled to your opinion just like I am as well. I don’t think it’s idiotic to think a guy who plays golf everyday, more active than me tbh, gets a shot then finding out major issues at the end of the known vaccine life span. But again, my thoughts.

FYI, the government doesn’t do that.

But there are ignorant people on both sides. On one side are people who blindly believe the vaccine is a cure and made the decision based on their belief they were told as much. Most will argue vehemently under that understanding.

Then you have people on the other side who think the vaccine has no benefit and forced themselves to believe that to justify their decision not to take it.

The government lying and hiding the truth has made the situation much worse.

Listen man, I'm a conspiracy theorist at times... But to think this is related to his cancer returning seems like a stretch.

I truly hope he is doing ok. God speed in his recovery.

Stage 4 obv doesn’t happen over night but to ignore that this vaccine does as much damage, if not more, that we have no studies om isn’t conspiracy. It’s conspiracy to buy into to Covid as society and put off other major health concerns.

This is something that bothers me.

I've seen people who either already have cancer or highly believe they might only to be put off because they had to keep the hospital open *in case* someone gets corona.

My wife was one of those folks. Thankfully her shoulder swellings (we thought it could have been lymphoma due to meds she was taking) turned out to be benign tumors. These were causing a ridiculous amount of pain and it took damn near an act of congress to get her in for surgery.

The covid grandstanding and woke virtue signalling could have caused her to die waiting on a simple operation (shoulder replacement and tumor remove) that was just normally a matter of routine the year or two before.

It's almost like we forgot how to think.

Exactly. Yet I’m a conspiracy theorist for caring about things known to kill people more than Covid. I hope your wife is taking care of, frick cancer.

Sounds like the vaccines both worked very well for you both, just as would be expected. Congrats on making a good healthcare decision for your and your family.

This is a totally false statement. It is not a vaccine. It is a shot of materials that will have long term ill effects to your body. It was made years ago and has nothing to do with a virus.

It's good for us ... maybe ... but it's not good for everyone. And everyone should get to decide if it's good for them or not just like my wife and I had the opportunity.
